    i wrote this for a card, to a friend, after her husband
passed, whom i also knew well--


vantage point--

   when we see the best in all things, each one shines--
this is the way to see the world...
   and when we see it this way, all our good sides lighten
the shadows on our fair natures--
  the good, and the better, on the same face...
